Abstract

The results of introduction of strategy to control iodine deficiency in Republic of Belarus allowed the International Council for Control of Iodine Deficiency Disorders and Iodine Global Network to enter Belarus into the list of countries that attained the target levels of iodine sufficiency. In 2015 a selective limited study of the iodine sufficiency was provided, its results showed the adequate iodine sufficiency of children and adolescents living in large industrial center and rural locality. The iodine median value was 148.5 mcg/л.
