Effect of Acute Power Load on the Parameters of Hormonal Response in Untrained Young Men During Weight Training Exercises

Abstract


The article displays the results of experimental studies on the characteristics of the changes in steroid hormones cortisol and testosterone levels in the blood of untrained young men in response to the acute power load of various kinds. It is found that the power load of high intensity at a small volume of work increase the level of hormones in the blood. However, the use of power loads of average intensity during training and with heavy workload causes opposite hormonal response that shown in reducing hormones in blood in comparison with the state of rest. In turn, it was found that, irrespective of the nature of the hormonal response to acute power load, fixed for three months of training athleticism, morphometric parameters and power capabilities of the body of participants in both groups showed positive growth dynamics.
